Monday Programs for Grades TK-12
As part of Stony Creek Joint Unified School District’s four-day instructional week, we offer HERD Days—optional Monday enrichment opportunities for all SCJUSD students in TK–12th grade.
HERD Days provide students with additional opportunities beyond the regular school week to explore their interests, strengthen academic skills, and stay connected to their school community. Activities may include:
- Leadership and team-building
- Outdoor and environmental learning
- Creative arts
- STEM activities
- Career exploration
- Wellness and recreation
- Tutoring and academic support
HERD Days are held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with SPARK available from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
By offering optional programming on Mondays, the District can preserve the benefits of our four-day instructional schedule while continuing to provide meaningful learning experiences, academic support, meals, and a safe place for students to learn and grow.
Families who would like their children to attend must complete the registration form in ParentSquare for each session. Advance registration allows the District to plan appropriate staffing, meals, materials, transportation, and activities.
